Joanna Avignone, MA, LPC, LCPC pending

Joanna holds a masters degree in Clinical Counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville. She is a Lisenced Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois and is working towards her LCPC for full liscensure. Joanna has worked in the community mental health setting doing both outreach and individual and group counseling. She has training and experience working with youth and adults in a parish setting. She is passionate about journeying with others through the counseling process to help them find meaning and purpose in their struggles as well as their accomplishments. She sees the value in identifying the gifts and uniqueness of individuals in order to help them draw strength for the obstacles that life presents, and that finding hope is the first step to healing. Areas of special interest include but are not limited to teen counseling, marriage/family counseling, grief issues, addictions and depression and anxiety.
